Summer holiday bronzed makeup look

Being very pale I usually shy away from bronzer as I feel even the lightest shades are just to dark for porcelain skin. But when the sun comes out and by skin tans a little I feel like summer is the time you can really go to town with the bronzer, especially if you tan really well. I love a bronzed makeup look when I'm on holiday and going out for a meal in the evening, I just think the bronzer really complements the sun kissed skin. I'm going on holiday I just a few weeks and this is the bronzed makeup look ill be wearing most evenings.
BASE |

I have quite oily skin anyway but when I've had sun cream and aftersun soaked in to my skin all day it can get pretty oily. This primer is oil free, sits lightly on the skin and minimises the look of pores, the perfect makeup primer.
Foundation - Loreal nude magique cushion foundation | £9.99
I have raved about this foundation quite a lot just lately so my holiday makeup bag wouldn't be the same without it. I'm using this foundation as its so light on the skin you can barely tell its there which is perfect when the weather is still hot in the evening. It gives a lovely coverage, and a little goes a long way!
This concealer really is industrial strength, you name it the concealer covers it. I tend to get a few dark circles whilst on holiday, because let's face it who wants to waste away the sun and cocktails time sleeping? I just apply this under my eyes and any areas I won't to conceal and blend it using my beauty blender.
Powder - Rimmel stay matte pressed powder | £3.99 (3 for 2)
This is always a repurchase for me, it locks in my base makeup perfectly, removing any oily patches leaving a lovely Matte finishes. I keep this in my handbag so I can have a little top if I need to throughout the evening. I just apply it lightly to my t-zone and little on my cheeks.
CHEEKS |

This bronzer looks really dark but it's not as scary as it looks, if you are pale like me you can just brush the bronzer lightly with your brush and apply it then add more if you would like it darker. There is a darker version for those of you who are lucky enough to get a tan. I just brush this lightly on the sides of my forehead the bottom of my check bones, my jaw line and a little on my neck just to keep it all blended.
Bronzer - Benefit hoola bronzer | £23.50
As this is a bronzer makeup look I'm going in with a pitcher bronzer just on my cheek bones. I feel like the benefit hoola bronzer complement any skin tone and give a great contoured bronze look.
Highlighter - Sleek solstice highlighter palette - £9.99
As this is a bronzed makeup look I'm not using to much highlighter, I just brushed on a small amount of the golden powder highlight shade in the bottom right of the sleek palette to the tops of my cheek bones, the bridge of my nose, under my brows and on my cupids bow.
EYES |

I never use to apply an eyeshadow primer, but it really helps to keep your eyeshadow in place all day. I just apply a small amount of the creamy primer to my lip and rid it in all over using my finger.
Eyeshadow - Urban decay naked palette - £38.50
I start by applying the shade 'virgin' all over my lid as a nice pale base. I then go in with the shade
'naked' on my lid to give a light brown colour and blend in the shade 'Buck' in my crease. To finish the bronzed eye look of I use a little bit of the shade 'smog' to my outer corners and my lower lash line to give a little shimmer to the bronzed look.
Mascara - Rimmel volume colourist mascara - £7.99 (3 for 2)
This mascara gives a little volume and separates the lashes perfectly, I just apply it just my top and bottom lashes to finish of my eye look. As well as been a great mascara it is also suppose to darken the lashes every time you wear it.
BROWS AND LIPS |

Brows - Rimmel brow this way eyebrow kit - £3.99 (3 for 2)
I usually get my brows waxed and tinted before going on holiday so I don't need much product in them. I use a mixture of the cream and powder product from the kit and just lightly fill in my brows.
Lip liner - Mac soar - £12.50
I just line my lips with Mac soar before filling in them in with lipstick.
Lipstick - Mac brave - £15.50
To complete this makeup look I fill in my lips with Mac brave, and I'm finished!
What do you think of the finished look? Do you like to wear a little more bronzer on holiday or in the summer?

June favourites

  1. This month I bought all the new products in zoellas new beauty range. Sweet inspirations has to be my favourite range, the packaging is so pretty and the scent is so nice. I have used these products do much this month, the small bag lives in my handbag and I've already repurchased some products as I don't won't to run out. You can read my review of the sweet inspirations range Here and how I use the products in a pamper routine Here
  2. Lyla loves jewellery always looks so pretty on Instagram and always gets me looking on their imstagram. This month I purchased a few pieces, you can see what I got here, I've been wearing the different pieces all month with different outfits but the rings have been my favourite, you can wear them with anything and they just make it look like I've made much more effort than I actually have.
  3. The Loreal nude magique cushion foundation has been a staple in my makeup bag this month. I  have to admit I purchased this foundation just to see what all the hype was about, but I, really glad i did. It gives a lovely light coverage and I love applying it using the cushion rather than my usual foundation brush.
  4. I've always been a lover of candles, never a certain type as long as they smell nice I'm happy. This month I've been burning the Yankee candle tarts over candles. They just melt in a tart burner but the smell just seems so much stronger than a candle and you can burn them a few times.
  5. The sleek solstice highlighting pallets has been a stand out beauty product for me this month. Not only does it look beautiful in its rose gold packaging, all four highlighters go on perfectly and really highlight your face. You don't have to apply loads but the nightlight is still really stronge.
  6. Berry m's molten metals range is so pretty and adds a little bit of glitz and glam to your look. This month I purchased two of the shades, bronze bae and slower lining. I've had them both on this month, just wearing them on there own for a bold stand out look or teamed the, with another shade for a more subtle look.
  7. I hadn't used a fixing mist before this month, now I don't know how my makeup ever stayed in place without it. I've been loving the Loreal infallible fixing mist to set my makeup in place and keep it their all day.
  8. I love nothing more that taking all my makeup of and applying a face ask to give my skin a deep cleanse. The lush Don't look at me face mask has been my favourite this month, I love the bright blue colour and it leaves my skin feeling so fresh and clean.
  9. I couldn't end my favourites without mentioning the new season of Orange is the new black. I was hooked on it that much I watched it all in one weekend.
What have been your favourites this month, have you tried any new products, or found a new series that you just can't stop watching? Let me know in the comments.

Superdrug haul

It's been a while since I went into Superdrug and had a good browse at everything, so that I did. Superdrug sell so many great affordable brands, there is always something that chatches the eye. I picked up a few products to update my makeup bag and to purchase some products that I heard great things about.

What I picked up |

Sexy balms, I first saw these products on instgram from the likes of Just Jodes and Beccarose. It's the battle between sheer and bold colour shades. I picked up four of the eight shades, three being sheer and one bold. Even though I'm usually more of a nude, sheer shade lover the bold red shade is actually my favourite, making the lips stand out and look beautiful. Although they are a lip balm they arnt sticky at all and give a little hint of colour no matter what shade you wear. They are so nourishing they leave your lips feeling smooth and glossy.

Cushion foundation | £14.99
Where haven't you seen this foundation, an exciting new concept of using a cushion to pump and apply your foundation, yes please! The cute pastel lilac pot contains and cushion to apply the foundation and the foundation itself. The foundation is actually contained inside a sponge that you tap with the cushion to release the product and apply smoothly using the cushion. It has a light build able to medium coverage, which is great now the warmer months are (hopefully) approaching.

Infallible fixing mist setting spray | £7.99
I hadn't used a setting spray before and picked this one up as part of the 3 for 2 offer. I now don't know how I survived with out a setting spray, my makeup stayed in place for so much longer! The only thing with this product is you do have to shake it very well before using otherwise you will end up with a few white marks on your face, I made this mistake the first time.

Barry M makeup
Molten metals nail paint in copper mine and silver lining | £3.99 each
I first saw these gorgeous shades in Zoellas may favourites video and feel in love. I love a metallic finish and these are perfect shades to add a little sparkle and give a plain outfit a bit of wow.

Coconut infusion, flamingo | £4.99
I love the new coconut infusion range from Barry m, they are super nourishing and have so beautiful colours. The latest addition to my collection is flamingo, a lovely pastel but bold shade of orange, perfect for summer.

After glow light bronzer
Barry M had an offer on where you got a free bronzer when you spent over £8, which is a great offer! There are two shades light and dark, being very pale I was unsure on any of the shades ad they both looked pretty dark. I picked one up anyway as it was free and if I didn't like it I could give it away. I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised, it wasn't to dark but is build able if you won't it a little darker. It gave a pretty sun kissed glow which is great if your like and don't get much of a glow from the sun.

MUA
Pixel perfect multi blush, pink blossom | £3
MUA is such an affordable brand which has some beautiful products. The mixture of gorgeous colours made this product catch my eye, for just £3 it is such a bargain. You do need to use a little more product than usual but the blush leaves a lovely rosy glow.

Rhapsody palette | £5
A multi use palette for just £5 is an absolute bargain, this palette consists of 10 nude and smokey shades and two cream nude metallic shades that can be used on the skin. I love the purple shades in the palette and can be used to create a subtle or bold look.

Intense colour eyeliner, berry wine | £1
I've never experimented with different colour eyeliner before so I picked up this dark purple shade to team with the eyeshadow palette I purchased.

Sleek makeup
Sleek makeup highlighter palette solstice | £9.99
The pigmentation in this palette is gorgeous, it consists of two baked powders, a cream and a shimmer powder. They highlight the face beautifully and the palette just looks great sitting pretty on your dressing table. This palette has become a staple in my makeup bag.

That is everything that I have picked up in superdrug recently, which is your favourite product that I picked up? Have you tried any of these products or have any products that you would recommend? Leave me a comment below of any recommendations or chat with me on my other social media.

Lush haul

My lush basket was looking a little empty so I decided to fill it up a little. As much as I love the convienence of ordering online you can't beat going in to a lush store and inhaling the gorgeous scents. The staff members are so lovely and will always help you out, show you how to use products and help to decided which is best for you. I mainly get bath bombs and and bubble bars as they are so pretty and create such a lovely relaxing bath which fills the room with amazing smells.

What I purchased |

Bath bombs |

Lava lamp | 3.95
A bold orange ball filled with bright purple spots is certain to fill your bath with colour. This one is created to turn your bath into a giant lava lamp.
Intergalactic | £3.95
This is favourite of mine, it turns your bath into your very own glaxy. It's filled with so many fun and vibrant colours and not to forget poppy candy!
Think pink | £2.65
A smaller bomb but just as nice, the deep pink colour leaves your bath a girly dream and the little flowers float around you while you relax.
Bubble bars |

The modfather | £3.65
This one is part of the Father's Day collection and will make a great gift. You crumble it under warm running water then sit back and relax in the citrusy smells.
Pop in the bath | £3.45
For this one you can opt for a blue bar with a pink flower or a pink bar with a blue flower. Either way you will enjoy zesty lemon scents with this pretty bubble bar.
A French kiss | £4.25
A classic relaxing smell is lavender and this pretty swirling bubble bar allows us to relax is a bath full of lavender scented bubbles.
Pink flamingo | £5.95
What's more summery than a candy scented pink flamingo? Having it on a stick allows you to swirl it around the bath to create bubbles, when you have enough to you can stop and use it again in another bath.
Face mask |

Don't look at me | £6.75
I was drawn to the mask by the bright blue colour. It's packed full of nutrients to leave your skin exfoliated and nu outrider leaving you with the perfect completion. I tried this product and my skin has never felt more soft.
Hair mask |
You apply this mask to dry hair and leave in for 20 minutes before washing with your usually products. It leaves hair soft and frizz free and help prevent split ends when brushing your hair. Perfect for frizzy fly away hair.
And now I'm fully stocked for the perfect pamper night. My favourite products are pink flamingo bubble bar, don't look at me face mask and Jasmine and Henna fluff-ease hair mask.

What are your favourite products? Have you tried any that I purchased?

L'Oreal cushion foundation

The sun is finally out! (I wonder how long it will stay) I love having days just sat basking in the sun, going for walks and picnics or just having a traditional bbq with family and friends in the garden. Everyone always seems in such a happy mood when the suns out and it certainly lifts my spirit.

Heavy makeup in the sun is massive no for me, I don't like to feel the skin melting it of my face but I can't go without it.  L'Oreal Paris have launched a brand new cushion foundation, a sponge liquid foundation.
The foundation comes in 7 shades with a little cushion to apply the product. The foundation is in a sponge which is released when you tap onto it with your cushion. It is a light coverage which is perfect for summer as you can't feel it on your skin and it leaves you with a fresh dewy completion. However you can build the foundation up to a medium coverage by tapping onto the sponge more to releases more product.
I love the texture and coverage of this product and there's something a little more glamorous about applying your foundation with a little cushion. It will be perfect for holiday and festival season, to give a little coverage and it's all compact, easy for travel and you won't need to remember a brush!

You can pick up this foundation from Superdrug for £14.99 and they currently have a 3 for 2 offer across L'Oreal products and a free tote when you spend £15 or more in cosmetics.

Do you like to use a lighter coverage foundation in summer?

L'Oreal Paris sexy balm

I love a Matt lip but when the sun is already drying out my lips I don't won't to use a product that is going to dry them out even more. L'Oreal Paris have brought a selection of Infallible sexy balms in 8 gorgeous shades, 5 sheer and 3 bold. They are enriched with gel balm to provide moisture for up to 12 hours. They are pigmented to give ultra colour and sit beautfuly on the lips.
I'm a lipstick kind of girl myself but these Sexy balms are super moisturizing and not sticky at all. There is a shade for every occasion, you can keep it neutral with the sheer shades or be brave and stand out with the bold shades.

I picked up four of the shades from Superdrug where all L'Oreal makeup is on 3 for 2. I choose  103 as if, 109 such a babe, 111 go pretty or go home and 202 adventure.
103 as if is a gorgeous pale nude shade that adds a little colour to a natural makeup look. 109 such a babe gives that perfect pop of summer pink brightening up your smile. 111 go pretty or go home is more of a pretty purple shade that adds a little colour. 202 adventure is a bold red shade that makes your lips stand out.

They are super nourishing on the lips and will look lovely for proms and weddings. Do your prefer sheer or bold?
