Holiday beauty essentials

The sun has finally shown its face in England but that doesn't stop me from jetting if to Spain for a week. I don't wear makeup in the day time whilst on holiday but for me the evenings are a time to get glamed up and put on my face. I thought I would share with you a few beauty essentials that will be the first in my suitcase.

Of course sun cream is a must, never mind painful and bad for your skin but sunburn is not a good look especially not on the face. I always apply a high factor sun cream to my skin including my face during the day and ensure my makeup has an spf in it for the evening. All that sun cream can leave my skin feeling a little clogged up and can cause a couple of breakouts so I like to take a face mask or two just to help clear my skin, and what better way to relax than on a balcony, with a face mask on drinking a cocktail?

Being pale I don't tan very well and as I'm just going for a week I won't get much of a tan so I like to take fake tan. The Younique beachfront self tanning body lotion is perfect for building up a gradual day by day tan so you can start from the first day. It conditions the skin a helps to cover scars which is perfect for me as I have a couple you can see when I'm wearing a bikini.

Moisturisers are essentials, the skin drys out your skin and let's not forget we have to shave our legs everyday! So our skin needs lots of added moisture, Zoellas double cream body lotion has the perfect sweet summer scent and leaves the skin feeling super soft!

Following on from moisturiser I like to add an extra summer glow with Zoella body fondant, not only does it have the same sweet summary scent as the moisturiser but it gives your a lovely sun kissed glow.

When the suns out so are my freckles, I like a high coverage foundation to help cover them without looking too cakey. The Too faced born this way foundation gives an amazing cover without it being noticeable and is oil free!

A powder is a must for me to stop all my foundation from slipping down my face. Rimmel"s stay matte powder is a timeless classic, it's never out of my make up bag. It sets your makeup in place perfectly but doesn't completely matte your skin as I still like a summer skin glow.

Although I like getting ready to go out I don't won't to spend a lot of my holiday in the hotel room so I try to keep my makeup routine as short as possible. Younique's splurge cream eyeshadow's are beautifully pigmented and so easy to apply. I have the shade elegant and I just take a tiny bit all over my lid and that's eyeshadow done! They look so pretty and have a little sparkle to them.

To complement my easy eyeshadow I use Younique 3D Fiber lashes. I can't be bothered with false lashes at home never mind in the heat, the 3D Fiber lashes give you the look of false lashes with out all the effort!

Your never fully dressed without your smile! Lipstick is one thing I can't go with out but when your eating out a lot and drinking lots of cocktails you don't won't something that is going to smudge all over your face or you somthing you have to keep applying after every sip! When I received the Younique presenters kit it include 7 mini Stiff upper lip lip stains which are perfect for on holiday, they not smudge or budge! The shades are all beautiful and they have a couple fun vibrant ones that will look gorgeous with a tan.

They are my 10 summer holiday essentials, what are yours? I'd love to know where you going on holiday.

Classic smokey eye

A smokey eye is my go to makeup look, it goes perfect for any season, outfit and time of day. You can keep it soft with a pale lip for summer and day time looks and create a bolder look with a stand out colourful lip for winter and evenings. A smokey eye consists of nude and brown tones with a mixture of matte and shimmer shades.
To create this look I used the Younique addiction shadow palette 1 which consists of matte and shimmers in nudes and brown shades. The shades are perfectly pigmented and blend very easily to created a seamless smokey look.
I started with the shade ELATED blending it all over the lid and all way up to my brow bone as a natural base colour. To start the smokey look I took the shade SINCERE all over my lid then blended the shade CHIPPER into my crease. To create the darker smokey tone I blended FORTHRIGHT to my outer corners and went over the top of that shade with a little bit of SWANKY to give the look a bit of shimmer. And finally I used the shade ZELOUS on my bottom lash line and blended it all together.
To finish of my eye look I used Younique moodstruck 3D Fiber lashes which create gorgeous false lash look lashes without false lashes. I added a pale lip colour to give it a chilled, summer look using Younique's stiff upper lip lip stain the shade shy. They last all day without smudging which is perfect in the hot weather and when going out to eat.

Natural makeup look

I love doing my makeup, experimenting with new products and new shades creating new looks. I wear makeup pretty much everyday but I don't always won't a bold look that involves a lot of products. Avon have there most loved products at half price until the 18th of July, this includes 5 products for £15. The products are, mascara, eyeliner, quad eyeshadow palette, bronzing pearls and a lipstick. The eyeshadow palette is in the shade stone taupe and the lipstick is a pale pink shade called carnation perfect for creating a neutral makeup look.
I started of with Avons magix primer applying it all over with a beauty blender to give a smooth base with no blemishes. This is a three in one products so there's no need for concealer which is perfect if your in a rush or don't won't too many products on your face. I then used the Loreal nude magique cushion foundation to create a medium coverage, smooth base.
On my cheeks I used Avon ideal flawless cream blush and highlighter duo, I applied the blush straight from the stick to my cheek creating a bold line that I then blended in using my fingers, I then went in with the highlighter in the same way at the tops of my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose. The highlighter is subtle but still gives a nice highlight with out being in your face.
To finish of on my cheeks I used a small amount of the Avon glow bronzing pearls at the bottom of my cheeks and my forehead to give a healthy looking glow.
For my brows I used Collection brow powder to lightly fill in my brows. I love this product it's a powder in a liquid type bottle and the brush is perfectly thin making it so easy to apply.
On my eyes I used the Avon true colour eyeshadow palette in stone taupes, I started with shade 1 all over the lids following up to my brows to create a nude base. I used shade 2 on my lids and shade 3 in my crease and outer corners. To create a natural smokey look I used shade 4 in my outer corner and bottom lash line and went back in with shade 1 in my inner corner at the top and bottom and blended it all together. To add a little definition I added a small winged eyeliner using Avons glimmer stick eyeliner in blackest black. Liquid eyeliner can get really messy if you don't he much time to apply it, I love the glimmer stick as it's easy to apply, thin enough not to create a massive thick black line and it not to dark so it can still create a soft natural look. To finish of my eyes I used Avons super shock max mascara in black on my top and bottom lashes. It really separates the lashes and adds the right amount of volume for an everyday soft natural look.
To pull the together I applied Avons ultra colour lipstick in carnation to my lips. Is a pale pink colour, which feels lovely and creamy on the lip giving a little bit of shine.
And that's the finished, quick natural look. You can now buy Avon products Online and get delivery straight to your door, in 3-5 days for £3.50 or 1-2 days for £5.50 so you don't have to wait a couple of weeks for representative delivery.

I love trying out new makeup products and mixing up my daily routine, which is great with drugstore products as they never cost too much but when it comes to high end products they can be a little pricey to just try out. Benefit are one of my favourite high ends brands and I usually
fall in love with most of their products. I wanted to try out a few of their products mainly the concealer but I didn't won't to pay a small fortune if I wasn't sure i would like the products.

Sleek Matte me lipsticks

I'm sure you've all lusted over the Kylie Jenner lipsticks, I know I have. The price tag and them forever being sold out is the only thing between me and the lipsticks.
Sleek have brought out some great alternatives which are just as pretty. The Matte me lipsticks come in 12 gorgeous shades from nude to deep red. The lipsticks start of as a
liquid and glide onto the lips like a lipgloss. It's very smooth and not sticky at all, after one application you just leave it dry for a moment. Even though they are matte they arnt drying at all and don't flake of during the day. They leave a smooth, full colour matte look on the lips that lasts all day.
I picked up two of the shades, Shabby chic and Petal. Shabby chic is an on trend muted dark pink shade and petal is a pale pastel pink shade, both perfect for summer looks.
I love how these products feel on the lips and the matte finish is beautiful. You can pick up the sleek matte me lipsticks for £4.99 each from the Sleek website.
