Pumpkin spice latte

Coffee is something I find my self not being able to live with out, I don't think this is really a bad thing. It's the first thing I do when I wake up in a morning, and taking that first sip is the most satisfying feeling. October is the month that brings my taste buds the much loved pumpkin spice lattes that they long for all summer. I love getting them from the coffee shops but I also want that taste all day everyday.
Baileys released their limited edition pumpkin spice flavour, although I'm not a fan of baileys on its own, in a latte is a whole other story. Now this is a drink for an evening, I no the alcohol content isn't too high In just one latte but I don't think drinking them all day at work would be wise. I just make up a latte from a Sachet and add a shot of baileys pumpkin spice, stir and of course add a pumpkin marshmallow. It tastes delicious and only takes two minutes to make. It is equally as tasty mixed with your favourite hot chocolate.

What's your favourite coffee shop drink?

Barry m | super natural eye shadow palette

Barry M are one of the first makeup brands I started using and I still love and use them now. Their nail varnishes are my favourite but I'm begining to get quite the collection of their palettes without even realising (oops). The super natural eye shadow palette is a super drug exclusive, the gorgeous autumnal packaging  caught my eye when I was looking at the nail varnishes at the Barry m stand. I pulled out the tester and instantly fell in love with the shades. The palette has similar shades to the naked 3 palette, which I also love, and would make a great more affordable dupe.
'A Collection of neutral matte and shimmery metallic eyeshadows in 8 supernatural shades; from pale nude to rose gold. All with a highly pigmented, rich, velvety formula.' It is so easy to create day and night time looks with the soft pinks for day and the brighter and darker shades for night. I love the shimmery orange/rose gold shade in the middle, just that shade all over the lid would look gorgeous for a simple Autumn look.

At just £6.49 this palette is really affordable and a great addition to your makeup collection.

Liquid lipsticks have just become bigger and bigger since they launched, with every one after the perfect kylie Jenner matte lip they are the perfect product. On the 1st of October Younique launched their own line of 10 liquid lipsticks, and I managed to get 4 of them. The packageing is so luxurious, with its Matte black colour and the shade of the product being shown at the bottom and through the word splash on the side. The product is velvety, blend able and build able with the colour becoming more vibrant with the more you apply but it still feels super light weight on your lips. You only need one swipe of these gorgeous colours on your lips for a full application, they are really creamy making the application feel nice and not drying to lips. The product doesn't dry instantly gives good it movement on the lips to blend before drying. The colour lasts all day even when you are eating and drinking, making them the perfect date night companion!
The shades I picked up |

Things that have made me smile | week 64

Bath bomb | Lord of Misrule
Things that have made me smile |
  1. Towards the end of this week I got a cold and was very run down so finishing work at 5 o'clock on Friday, going home, getting a takeaway and passing out in the sofa was a huge highlight for me! There's nothing better than resting and not having to get up for work the next day when your not feeling well.
  2. I started to feel better by the Saturday, so we headed of for some lovely afternoon tea at our local m&s cafe. There's just something about cute little sandwiches that make me smile.
  3. Sipping on a toffe apple hot chocolate in Costa. If you haven't tried one, you need to stop what you are doing and go and get one! They are amazing!
  4. Going to hull fair, this has become quite the yearly tradition for me, my fiancé and my sister. We go every year and every year it rains! But that never spoils our fun, we go on a few rides (I'm a wuss when it comes to rides) played games and ate some delisious food.
  5. Being with my fiancé for 5 years! Today marks our 5 year anniversary of being today, a lot has changed since then but we're still just as happy. We celebrated with a small gift for each other, coffee and crumpets in bed a day chilled in front of the telly, perfect!
I hope you have all had a lovely week and have a great week ahead of you. I'm counting down the days of this week as when 3 o'clock Friday hits me and my fiancé have 10 days of together and both of our birthdays to celebrate!

  • 120g dark brown sugar.
  • 120ml double cream.
  • 500g icing sugar.
  • 280g cream cheese.
Instructions |

1) In a pan gently heat the apple, sugar, vanilla and water on a medium heat. Stir occasionally untill the apple is soft and leave to cool.

2) Preheat the oven to 170c and prepare a 12 hole muffin tray with cases.

3) Place the butter, brown and white sugar in a bowl and mix using an electric whisk. Once light and fluffy add the Two eggs and vanilla extract, beat well until fluffy and combined.

4) In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt until well combined.

5) Add a third of the dry ingredients to the butter mixture until just combined, then add half the apple mixture until just combined. Repeat and finish by adding the final third of the dry ingredients.

6) Spoon the batter into the prepared cases, bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes then leave to completely cool.

Autumn candles DIY

I love, love, love home wear, when ever there's a home wear section in a shop that's where you will fine me! A new season means new home decor! I love exploring the seasons home where sections and swapping bits around in my home. Candles are a must for a cosy autumn evenings, I had a few left over from summer that I hadn't managed to burn down, instead of wasting them I deciding to change them up for autumn.

You will need |
Glass candles
Sticks/twigs
Strong glue
String
Extra decorations

How to | stick and string candle
This DIY is so easy and so cheap! First of all you need to go for a lovely autumn walk or just pop into your garden and pick up some sticks/twigs. Once you have the desired amount you just glue them all around your candle, you can make them all the same size or have them all different sizes. I kept a few of mine the same size and had a few taller ones sticking up. Once the glue has dried and your sticks are firmly in place you can take your string and warp it around the sticks in the center of your candle as many times as you like, tying a note at the end. You can leave it like this or add a little extra decoration to finish it of. I glued a little wooden heart in the centre of my candle on top of the string.

How to | string decor candle
This one is super easy. Take your glue and spread it around your candle to your desired height, I went a 3rd of the way up my candle. Once all the glue is in place, starting from the bottom you just wrap the string around the candle pressing down to ensure it is straight and stuck in place. Once you get to the end of your glue, cut the string of the ball and stick the end down. To finish of my candle I added one of the same wooden hearts as the other candle to the top 3rd of my candle. And it's all done!

And there you have to super easy and cheap autumn candle DIY's, which one is your favourite? Be sure to tag me in any pictures on instagram and twitter if you try any of these DIY's and let me no if you have and home wear DIY's for me to try out.

september favourites

September is one of those In-between months that I'm not really a huge fan of, the weather is all over the place and I'm just waiting for Autumn to arrive. It is however the month that I start to switch up a lot of my products ready for the new seasons.

September favourites |

Younique mineral pigment powders | £10 each or 4 for £35
I love experimenting with eyeshadow shades and creating new looks, this month I changed the bright vibrant summer colours for the toned down Autumn shades. The Mineral pigment powders are so easy to apply and blend together beautifully. The shades I've used the most are Heartbroken, Beautiful, Giddy, Glamorous, Provoked and Gorgeous. They are all perfect for smokey eyes and there's a couple of bad shades in there for so,e stand out looks.

Now the cooler weather is starting to creep up on us a bath is a regular thing for me. I love coming in from the cold, running a hot bubble bath and dropping in a lush bath bomb. Lush bring out the best bath bombs in Autumn and winter, I loved trying out some of their new Autumn and Halloween collection this month, you can see my lush Autumn and Halloween haul Here.

Lipgloss isn't something that I usually wear, they are normally quite sticky and the colour doesn't show up much. These lipgloss's are perfect, there not sticky at all and each shade shows up on the lips. The shade I've been reaching for the most this month is Livid, it's a brown, golden shade with a little hint glitter, the perfect Autumn shade! It looks absolutely gorgeous with a smokey eye.

Barry M's molten metal range is one of my favourites, the shades are so pretty and give a really nice shine effect. I've been wearing bronze bae on my nails every day in September, the bronze is the perfect Autumn shade and the glitter gives it that little bit of glamour.

This is the first time I had tried a detoxifying mask and my skin has improved so much. I really have to step up my skin care game when the weather gets cooler as my skin gets drier and I tend to have more breakouts. This mask is amazing, you only need a small amount and it does wonders. It tingles and bubbles up on your skin, which is quite fun to watch, and gets right into your pores to really clear your skin and improve its appearance and helps to brighten it.

Fedora hats and ankle boots |
Bad hair days have been so much easier to cover up this month, not only do fedora hats look great but they perfect for covering up messy hair! I love pairing mine with a simple dress, tights and some little Autumn boots.

That is everything I have been loving this month, I can't wait for October it's my favourite month, it's mine and my fiancé's birthday month, our anniversary and Halloween! What have you been loving this month?
